A photographer/painter from Toronto, Petra Collins, has really been creating buzz with her creative work these days. I love how her images always have a raw Lolita like quality to them. Very dream-like with a touch of darkness. There is often controversy surrounding her use of nudity and sexuality, but I've personally always loved that aspect added into a photo. She curates the website the Ardorous (which is derived from one of my favorite words - ardor - it means passion/intensity/ferver), which is quite inspiring so I recommend checking it out and discovering some new young artists.
Here are a few of my favorite shots from her work.

baseball inspiration...
The iconic baseball jacket has been popping up in a few different street style blogs lately and it's really intrigued me. I'm on the fence on how I feel about the jacket, but I think that's what has also made me so interested in it. It almost poses as a challenge to style into an outfit... and I'm always up for that.
